We're OOO for Refuel Week

We're proud to say that Orbit is now community mission control for more than 5,000 users. Over the last 18 months, we've immersed ourselves in the daily challenges of community builders so that we can craft the software and resources needed for you to build high-gravity communities.

We're honored to be on this journey with all of you, but it's been a trying year and a half. Like you, we've been working hard while juggling shifting safety precautions, child and elderly care commitments, and other challenges COVID has thrown up along the way. And on top of all that, software is hard!

It's time to refuel. That's why everyone at Orbit is taking next week off 💜

Time to unplug from work

It's a small token of appreciation to our team for all their hard work and is another way we're living our value of showing kindness. This extra week of paid leave means our team can focus on themselves and their own well-being. Announced internally back in June, to allow folks to plan travel and family time, it's time to unplug from work. Since we're all off at the same time, it means we need not worry about missing out, "checking in," or coming back to a sea of unread Slack messages.

In it for the long-haul

Employees' wellness and mental health are critical to any business. While we're committed to building the future of community-driven companies, doing so isn't simply a quick jaunt to the edge of space; it's a long-term mission. Building a product we're all proud of and growing a thriving community can't happen unless we set our team up with an environment to do their best work.

If you're an Orbit user, don't worry - the lights are staying on. A few team members have volunteered to keep an eye on core services and support requests. But bear with us if we're a little slower to reply than normal.
